Obedient Blessing is better than Disobedient Grace

Escaping grace is equal to escaping salvation. So I am not attempting to minimize grace at all. But what I am counting on is Paul's advice that we should not sin abundantly to show grace. Romans 6:1-7

Yeshua says if you love me you will obey me. It also says that HE provides well for those who HE loves. Now I am not saying that hard times will never happen. But I want my readers to really get this idea. Wouldn't it be better to seek HIS favor in this life and the next based on obedience rather than count on grace all the time for forgiveness. It is my personal goal to find His favor and blessing through obedience. Not that I don't have his favor which granted me salvation. My salvation is based on Him choosing me and not my good deeds. My good deeds based on my love for Him according to the bible may just open the door to prosperity in life. Maybe sometimes that is financial but not always. Maybe it is His blessing based on my obedience that has allowed me to be able to write this blog. And be the blessing that a few people claim that I have been through this blog. I tell you today. It is not my greatness in writing things of YHVH that you see in this blog but rather His blessing over my thoughts and hands in order to place this stuff on the net. I write this because I love you, my reader so much that I don't want you to live a life of mediocrity. Counting on living in grace alone but rather, I would like to see you living faithfully in His blessing granting you a great and peaceful joy that will bring you the happiness that you seek. Disobedience might be fun for a time. But it shall pass and you have nothing left but grace. No divine rewards will await. Your salvation may not be lost but the knowledge of know your Heavenly Father's blessings will be a memory in your mind of, I wish I had done better.

In my next blog I will talk about disobedient prayer.

Self Control Or Self Gratification.

Self Control Or Self Gratification. Why do so many people spend so little time focused on the greatest things YHVH has to offer. Many people chase speaking in tongues, or the prophetic, and some to be a great healer. As admirable as these things are most of people desire these thing for the attention they believe they will get from the peers of their church. Yeshua said that we should give in secrete. Have you ever thought about healing someone in complete secrete so they had no idea what had happened. Probably not. Showing us that the reason most seek big fancy gifts is self importance or pride. Don't get me wrong the gifts of the spirit are great and we should desire them. But I think we should leave them up to YHVH to delineate who gets what gift and when its needed. However that does not mean we should sit waiting dumbfounded for something to happen. Maybe our fast focus should be on spiritual fruit rather than spiritual gifts.
There are many fruits to talk about but I am going to focus on the one that is most neglected as far as I can tell.

When was the last time you were driving down the road and something happened in traffic? Maybe you got cut off, or the light changed just in time to mess you over in your time schedule. One time I looked down from the 18 wheeler I was driving because a car was running right beside my window and not passing me. They came up fast and then slowed at my window. They had a reason for this. You see the passenger was a reasonable looking woman that was totally nude as far as I could tell. After I got a good look they picked up the pace and moved on. My hormones went out of control because of that. Mostly because I had no idea on how to control anything in my life. Especially myself. I have been the guy who gets very angry at an inconvenient stoplight. One of the biggest areas that shows a loss of self control is sex. But I am not going to deal with that in this blog. I will be blogging it but not today. Lets look at some of the little issues of self control. Its the little ones that really ad up because they get ignored.

Col 3:23
23And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Master and not to men, 24knowing that from the Master you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Master, Messiah, you serve. 25But he who does wrong shall be repaid for the wrong which he has done, and there is no partiality.

I was walking out of a Connivence Store a little while back and saw a beautiful gal walking in. She caught my attention because she was conservatively well dressed. She was also with some children though I don't think they were hers. Close by walking up with her was another woman who looked more like the mother of the children. Quickly she caught up with the woman that I had noticed. I also saw a man that from what I could tell was probably the second woman's husband and the father of the children. Because of the time of day and the day of the week I guessed them to be 7th Day Adventists. They are very devout to a saturday Sabbath. As He fueled I pondered their home and what might be found in it. I did this partly because of where they were this lovely saturday afternoon. A C-Store. Which means money was about to be spent to cover gas and what ever else they might decide to purchase. However the bible does say that there shall be no money changing hands on the Sabbath. As I said its the small things that add up fast. I wondered could I find sponge bob in the children's toys, or videos on the shelf that were not edifying to the Creator. Would I find magazines designed for women but have soft core porn on the cover like Cosmo. How many hours does your over all home dedicate to farmville etc. There are so many things that we neglect because they seem innocent. The 7th Day Adventist actually have a lot more of this under control then most. They usually don't read romance novels and things like this that many many people who claim to be christians do.

How many of these things are in your life? I can say I have way way to many in mine. But I can also say that I am on a daily struggle and prayer for the spiritual fruit of self control.
The bible says so many wondrous things for those that keep his statutes and commands. Why do we continue with the rubbish of our lives? We continue to turn time and time again to focus what we want. Giving little or no thought to what is right in the site of YHVH.
We cry out that is just innocent little this and little that. Or scream who are you to judge me. Weigh it out for your self, are all those little innocent things that the go against that scripture worth the loss of the blessing from heaven. Should we turn away from spiritual fruit and turn toward our own lustful desires?
The bible is full of stories when Israel did exactly that. Horrible things occurred time and time again to them until they repented.
Will we be aloud a time to repent? Or destroyed like Sodom and Gomorrah? I personally have been praying for an idea I call One of Ten. Ten Couples who will devoutly stand in the statutes and commands of YHVH. Who will follow this,

II Chron 7:13
“If I shut up the heavens and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14and My people upon whom My Name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land. 15“Now, My eyes are open and My ears attentive to the prayer of this place

May a remnant be found in the precious country the united states of America.

Faith The Forgotten Art

Most christians claim they believe the bible to be true. But their life does not reflect it. Lets look at an example of how belief effects action.
In the deepest of the jungles of Africa there are natives. Many of these peoples live very primitive. Some of them teach their children from a young age if they kill and enemy and eat some of their brain they will harvest the power of that enemy. What do these children do when the become adults? The fulfill that belief system.

I was once asked by a non believer if your god is real why are their no christians doing miracles like what is depicted in the bible. Such as regeneration of limbs. The question cut to the quick of my belief system.
Miracles do happen today. But not like that. Why? I began my quest with this question. Why do miracles like that not happen. The bible says:

Mathew 21
18And returning to the city early in the morning, He became hungry. 19And seeing a single fig tree by the way, He came to it and found naught on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” And immediately the fig tree withered. 20And the taught ones, seeing it, marvelled, saying, “How did the fig tree wither so soon?” 21And יהושע answering, said to them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have belief and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ it shall be done. 22“And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive.”

Now this where my blog is going to take a turn for the hard. As you read the above you may have assumed of few things. Many do who I have talked to about those verses

1 Can a person really cast a mountain down into the sea?
Common answer. No because that would cause great geological issues. Does the need at that moment merit that level of Devine intervention.
2 Is the reason this does not happen because of lack of belief?
Common Answer Potentially but God would not choose to allow that to happen because he knows better than humanity. That this should not happen.
3 Did Yeshua really mean what he said or was he speaking metaphorical?
Common answer, He was being metaphorical.

Both answers are partly true and completely wrong. The geological issue is of no importance to whether it can happen or not. Yes there will be catastrophic affects. But the bible does not address that issue. In fact the bible does address the second half of the issue. Lets look at Mark to see his account of the story.
Mark 11:
12And on the next day, when they had come out from Bĕyth Anyah, He was hungry. 13And seeing at a distance a fig tree having leaves, He went to see whether He would find any fruit on it. And when He came to it, He found none but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14And יהושע, responding, said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His taught ones heard it

Yeshua's motivation according this was hunger. I am going to skip the 3rd for a moment. Was Yeshua meaning that we could cast down mountains metaphorically? My answer is first a resounding NO. But also yes. Can the mountains of bills be taken away and cast into the sea based on this verse. Yes. But thats not really why I am writing this blog. Can we really cast down mountains into the sea. YES. Lets put into context. The disciples that were there saw the whole thing. He withered the fig tree. Was the fig tree metaphorical? Absolutely not. Those men with him saw the tree wither. After seeing something like that, and then hearing Yeshua's words, is there any way that they could have applied those words metaphorically? Answer only someone who wishes to cause doubt in the mind of a believer would ask such a question. And that brings us back number 2. What was the criteria for being able to accomplish something like this? Faith! How do we obtain faith?

Rom 10:
17So then belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Elohim

Lets not forget context of what is going on. First he was not saying Yeshua he said Elohim. This name is used more often in the OT. Second what was being talked about was scripture. What was scripture at the time? Not the New Testament. That was happening right then. What was the scripture. The Torah was the scripture of those days. So faith comes from hearing the Torah. The Torah for any who does not know is the first 5 books of the OT. Also something you need to remember is this.

James 2:
14My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him. 15And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, 16but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it? 17So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. 18But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. 19You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! 20But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? 21Was not Aḇraham our father declared right by works when he offered Yitsḥaq his son on the altar? 22Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? 23And the Scripture was filled which says, “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.” 24You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. 25In the same way, was not Raḥaḇ the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.

What are works? The answer is obedience. Yeshua was asked what was to be obeyed. He responded:

Mark 10:
17And as He was setting out on the way, one came running, and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?” 18And יהושע said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Elohim. 19“You know the commands, ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not rob,’ ‘Respect your father and your mother.’ ”

In other words Yeshua sent the rich man to the Torah. In my personal search of finding out what is missing in my life of answered prayer I have figured out. Obedience to the Torah is key. If anyone teaches that we can count on forgiveness and that the Torah is an option and not a requirement, just remember faith comes from hearing of the Torah. Faith is the weapon we have to defeat the enemy and his attacks.
To go into this battle against YHVH's enemy with weak faith is to walk into a war low on bullets against an enemy who has full automatic weapons.
A faithful one who walks into the this battle in obedience walks in with plenty of ammunition that has the innate ability not only to kill but its also like having bullets that track down those enemies no matter where they hide.

I choose to fight in my Heavenly Fathers Battle. I choose to use the best weapons I can get my hands on. Faith mixed with obedience.
I am going to flatten some mountains not just those personal struggles. But I hope that one day. I will go out and in the name of Yeshua I will do my best to show what a obedient faithful man can do in the face of the enemy.

I Stand As One.

Dead Prayer

Dead Prayer

When I was 10 years old I had my first encounter with a YHVH fearing woman. She taught me something about faith that stuck with me from that day forward though I had no idea of how to find it for myself. She had a real sense of peace. Even through hard times her Savior granted her that. I wanted peace so bad that day that I tried to become a christian. But there was much to learn and no one to teach it. I got in more trouble than I had ever been in before and I hadn't even gotten the pleasure of doing anything fun. So with no one to encourage my young faith it fell away. Or so I thought. My Heavenly Father foreknew what he wanted of me. So first He turned me to Him and then let me find my own way to who and what He really is.

When I was 23 I decided to commit my life as seriously as I knew how at the time to YHVH. I did so out of bitterness and anger. Again no one was overly their to teach me what was right. But because of a fierce desire for revenge against Him who I believed ruined my life I was not willing to let things go. Sometime later I found myself in a video lending library full of R.C. Sproul.
This started the beginning of a change in understanding.

For most of my christian life I was confused about prayer. People claim they believe that YHVH answers prayer. But their actions really did not reflect that claim. Me I struggled with it hard. What little I knew of the bible said that prayer is answered. But my prayer always came up empty. I look to all the people who I used to attend church with and all they have is a empty claim that they believe He answers prayer. But they don't live like it.
I began to pray and ask what was wrong why are prayers no longer answered the way they used to be for the disciples. The answer came indirectly. In other words I started chasing the right thing for the right reasons. But had no clue that I had started down the right track. The answer of coarse is found in the bible. And I am going to tell you if you don't take this verse as boldly serious as it is state your prayer will not be answered ever. This verse is key to my life as well it should be yours.

Proverbs 28:9
9He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Abomination is a big word and not used but for special things. The fact that it is used here in this way is big and it tells us just why our prayers are like peeing in a a stif wind.

Seeking Favor

I have had many questions in following the Sabbath today was the first time I really have tried to follow the Sabath as it is written. I know that some might disagree with me on the subject all I can say is this. Take a look at your life and and see if you find the fruits of the spirit. If you do I would think you would want to find absolute truth as much as I. In my attempt at finding obedience in the Sabbath I am looking for devine favor or blessing. I have spent a long time in absolute poverty at least as much as what is typical in our nation. I know I am doing much much better than in the third world countries. The point is I am convinced that obedience out of love for my Savior will lead to a fulfilling of bibical promise on a personal level. For those of you who read this post please note the date is was posted. And if you follow any of my other blogs you will notice that I have two blogs that have no entries. I pray that this obedience will show faithful obedience that will allow for those two blogs to start taking shape. Only time will tell. I hope that things to change for the blessing of my few readers that it might be seen to love Him enough in all things to obey.

Do you have salvation?

I am hitting on this subject once again because of how important it really is. This is from a slitly differnt angel than the previous entry. That being said here is my blog.
How do we know we have salvation?  Some religions believe you can never be sure about it. But a little research in the bible shows that we can have biblical assurance.
The bible does talk about people who believe they have salvation but don’t.  What is authentic salvation?  Is it a that we pray a prayer?  I don’t think so, how many people would have salvation because they pray for God to save them when in deep trouble and usually end that prayer with a if you save me I will do/not do, fill in the blank.  Prayer is a our line of communication not our salvation. And no matter how sincere a person is about that prayer doesn’t mean salvation is truly there. How many times have you said something and truly meant it but then changed your mind because circumstances changed.  I found out two things about salvation true salvation comes as a result of the presence of the Holy Spirit.  What is important about this is that house of God is not divided.  Upon the entrance of the Holy Spirit in our lives authentically dominion of who were are as a person is handed over. Instituting a very powerful change in the core of our being. This change will change our desires. With a change of desire comes a change of behavior.  I found the greatest and most accurate measure of our salvation. The answer is love.
John 14:15 If you love me, keep my commandments. As I have been requesting a deeper revealing of the Holy Spirit I have found that I am finding a deeper love for Adonai. In fact in my prayer most days I have been calling Him Papa in prayer. Why? Because I am seeking a real and deeper intimacy with Him. As this has been occurring I have desiring more and more to be obedient to his commands. I obey these commands simply because I love Him and no other reason.  My drive toward a greater obedience is based solely based on love and a desire for a greater intimacy with Adonai.  How can you know you have salvation?
You will mortify the deeds of the flesh through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Why Should I Obey? Part 1

**A special note the quoted scripture is from TSR98 translation If you see weird characters or blank spots in the scriptures these are the names of God in their original form. Blank spots mean browsers did not understand what they were so it was ignored.

In opening with this blog I will be showing some of the great promises that are in the bible giving reason to take this obedience idea serious but I want to remind you briefly that we should not be looking at the promise but rather the action step that is our job to take care of. As I read through these promises I started to see just how much Adonai really does care about our lives.

I have noticed that people including myself treat things better that the value. If they don't value or treasure it they don't treat it well. I have especially noticed this in men who do not treasure their wives. I find this horrid and appalling that they are given such a wonderful gift as wife and treat her so badly. (Yes there is the side to that story. If you are woman place it the comments for people to read please I am a man and aim allot of what I write at men) I have been blessed enough to see a woman who was treasured by her husband the beauty that emanated from that 50+ year old woman was greater than any model I have ever seen. (Thank you Mr and Mrs. Beers for being someone to look up to) The thing that needs to understood here is that if we treasure something we treat it right. If we obey our Adonai He will treasure us. How much more can He treasure us than we can anything we value?

Deut 5:29 ‘Oh, that they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and to guard all My commands always, so that it might be well with them and with their children forever!

I look at this verse and see both a promise and a possible curse for our children. This promises that things will be well with those that obey and fear Him. But look at what it means if we don't obey. Things will not go well not just for us but also our children.
Yesterday I was getting some tires put on my (new to me) used car. While waiting for the job to get done I was sitting in the parking lot and a family came walking through the lot toward their car. What caught my attention was the what the father said and my unspoken response to him. He was talking to one of his children " Would you like my foot up your ***"  My response was "About as much as you want my foot in your face" Followed with, "If don't want your children to act like out of control hooligans that need you to talk like that to them, stop being someone who needs the same from his own dad. They are emulating you and if you don't like what you see then fix it. Start teaching them respect. You can do that by showing respect to people around you. Especially your wife."

This guy has stolen all the biblical promise from his children's life. Not that he cares but that is so sad to me. I wonder how much this verse could affect change in our children's lives. I read this verse again and I don't even see an age limit to it. Could that mean that even if we have adult children that our obedience might yet change the out come of their life?

This is a hard one, I could talk about leadership of family, I could talk about leadership in our country. I read this verse all I can say is that I greatly desire this promise to come true in my life. I am tired of being the tail end. It stinks. When I read this verse it makes me ask the question "Is there so few obedient people that this nation has fallin to a leader who supports ungodly things to this degree. The answer of coarse must be yes. All I can say is this. I will stand as One to be counted.

Painting request

Every once in a while I get an image in my head inspired by an event or encounter with Adonai. I have requested a few of these images be made into paintings but as far as I know none of them have. If you as a artist were to feel inclined to attempt this painting maybe you could post a link or something.

Anyway here is the idea.

Foot ball team chasing one player
Number 777 name papa
the, whole team can't bring papa down
and one player from papa's team looking on in anticipation of seeing His Papa take the enemy down.

To obey love or fear

I started asking myself how willing to be obedient I wanted to truly be. I was taught in church as a kid that obedience was not that big of a focus because of grace. The focus was on God's love and forgiveness. Those things are important but should they be my focus? My dad has told me time and time again that we need to go to the bible to find the measure of standards. I didn't find Yeshua saying things like go out and find grace. He said many many times "go and sin no more"
My question became how do I change my desire to do things that are obedient?
I quickly found out that obeying just because we are supose to was not enough pushing me back to a depend on grace focus again. Quickly discouragement set in. Then despair took over. I found that this pushes a person deep into a failure mentality and all ability to stay clear of sin falls under the weight of complacency.
So what would cause a person to obey and stick with it. I figured out that I was missing faith. I also determined that faith and trust coexist. Faith comes from hearing the word and trusting that it is actually truth. But what parts of the bible am I to trust in that will help me in a obedience battle?

I am going to drop some heavy verses on this subject. The idea will be to determine the level of faith we actually have. Faith is believing in things unseen. Or in other words faith is believing "The Word" (bible)when all circumstances scream against it. Faith is revealed when actions are based on the pursuit of growing to know Adonai rather than our actions being in direct response to the situational circumstances we are facing at the moment of crisis or decision. The focus however will not be on what Adonai is promising but should be on the action step that the verse will be requiring in order to be able for us to request that He take His action as promised. Most of these verses will be in two parts. One part will be YHVH action, meaning His promise, the other part will be something of a command for His followers to do in order to obtain the desired effect of Adonai following through with His portion therefore being true to His word or promise.

Joh 14:15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

Joh 14:16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever,

Joh 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive; for it does not see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.

These verses were easy for me to gloss over without giving any serious thought. I just was focusing on a fast meaning that was on the surfice. Untill I turned the verse around a little bit in my brain. Of the few people that I know who care about obedience most of them only obey based on duty. This is not what the bible promotes especially in the verse above. Obedience comes from either fear or love. Children prove that. Most parents target fear of consiquences to motivate their children into obedience. However the rats will play when the cat is away. Teens prove this out escpially on tv. How many shows have the teens do a party that gets out of control when Mom and Dad are out for the night? Adults are no different. When we think Adonai is paying attention we go to church and do the duties we think we should. Now think about this if a young man loves a young girl he will do anything she asks all the time. It is just how it is men and women will do this left and right. However our altimate treasure should be Adonai Himself. I found out as I saught to understand this I started caring more and more about what He thought about me and my actions. I started struggling to obey in things I never even cared about before. I love Him so much that I do all that I can do obey. Spend some time with this. Do you really love Adonai? Or just go through the motions. In the next section I will take this a little deeper into reasons to obey. Some of the great promises that the bible brings to light.

The Question

How far will you go to find the healing hand of Adonai? Most people will say they will go as far as it takes. But the truth reveals something very different. Many people today feel like they are in this place of locust devouring what little they have, and yet they will not embrace Adonai's promise with in sense of purpose.
13 If I shut up the heavens, and there is no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people;
14 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
15 Now My eyes shall be open, and My ears shall be open to the prayer of this place.
16 For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, so that My name may be there forever. And My eyes and My heart shall be there forever.
As I read though this I found myself asking why is my land not healing just yet.
The answer was found in Leviticus
Lev:26
3 If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them,
4 then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5 And your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time. And you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
I was taught that most biblical statutes were abolished by Christ. We are under grace not law. Did you know that in the time of Christ that The Scriptures were only the old testament. The new was unwritten. In fact even what was to become the new testament was not considered scripture as it was being written. Don't get me wrong I am not saying it is not inspired, I am saying that the New Testament refers only to the Old Testament as Scripture.
I am not going to quote this next part. It is a challenge to you the reader.
What was Yeshua always telling us in the New Testament? Boiled down, He said pay heed to The Scriptures.
In my next blog I will look at some scriptures that people don't take seriously enough.
